Water is the most difficult climate adaptation challenge the Nation faces

Subject: Water is the most difficult climate adaptation challenge the Nation faces

EPA released a new training module, Understanding Climate Change Impacts on Water Resources.  This internet–based course is designed to provide an overview of the challenges that a changing climate poses for clean water and safe drinking water.  The 45-minute module also describes how communities are working to make the United States more resilient to the impacts of climate.

Challenges that a changing climate pose for water managers include changes to water supplies, increased water pollution, risks to water infrastructure, and the diverse impacts on coastal areas, including see level rise and changes in ocean chemistry.

Operators, utility personnel, board members, city and borough councils and other local officials are encouraged to view this module, so please promote internally at your organization.
