US EPA: AWIA-Reminder to Certify

EPA no authority to change requirements under the Safe Drinking Water Act, so this is a reminder that large community water suppliers (those serving 100,000 persons or more) must certify completion of the risk and resilience assessment at the end of this month, March 31, 2020.  Medium systems (50,000 – 99,999 population) have until December 31, 2020.  If you know you will not make this date, please give me a call.  EPA is open for business as usual, but with most staff teleworking in order to keep us safe.

A Tip: Because others have shared their experiences with us, EPA has added clarifications on the certification process to the AWIA website.  Of most importance is the person to be certifying should be the person registering. Otherwise, the person who does register will be the default certifier.  See instructions here, including a video:
