Title: Pennsylvania Section-American Water Works Association (PA-AWWA) Executive Director
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pennsylvania Section of the American Water Works Association (PAAWWA) is a leader in the water industry representing the needs of its diverse membership base of consultants, vendors and utilities who provide public drinking water to millions of Pennsylvania residents. We seek a dynamic individual as our Executive Director, with a passion for our mission and to lead our organization into the future. With industry changes and increased regulations, the right person will have an opportunity to influence and have a positive impact on public perception of the water industry. Utilizing a strategic plan, the Executive Director will drive membership growth while providing enhanced value and strategic direction to the organization.
REPORTS TO:
The position reports to the Section Board of Trustees and under the general supervision of the Chair of PAAWWA (or designee as provided by the PAAWWA Chair). The Executive Director directs and oversees all functions of the organization.
DUTIES:
Management and oversight of day-to-day operations of the Section, spokesperson for PAAWWA, development of membership outreach and support, assist in development and execution of training and educational programs, contract negotiations, office administration, collaborate with Past Chair to revise and manage Section policies, budgeting, financial reporting, planning and marketing events, implementation of strategic plan, and management of communications. Other duties as assigned by the Section Board of Trustees and/or Chair.
