Job Description
The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County is looking for a qualified candidate to assist in the management, maintenance, and development of the water distribution system, specifically in regards to its control systems and data collection.
Duties: To design, program, and commission control systems for new pumping, pressure reducing, flow metering and tank monitoring stations. To implement accurate data collection and visualization with the supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA) and with local stations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: AutoCAD, RSLogix5000, Logix5000 Studio Designer, RSLinx Classic, Factorytalk View SE and ME, Factorytalk Security, Factorytalk Historian, Factorytalk Vantage Point, SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2012, , Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016, Visual Basic language programming, EtherNet IP communications, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Remote Desktops, VMware.
Experience/Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science plus 2-3 years’ experience in automation controls. Knowledge of Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradely PLC’s, visualization software, and data collection software are preferred. Candidate must have a good understanding of electrical circuits, both AC and DC, as it pertains to control-cabinet enclosures and general troubleshooting practices. Candidate must have a good understanding of windows operating systems, specifically windows server 2008, 2012 and 2016. It is important for the candidate to have a general understanding of computer networks as it pertains to Windows Domains and Workgroups. Candidate must also be proficient in AutoCAD. General knowledge of water supply distribution systems.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Pass a physical examination certifying to good health when required by the Authority. Be capable to working a regular eight (8) hour workday, as well as work outside normal hours if required, without showing abnormal physical or mental signs of fatigue.

Salary: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 /year
