Input Needed: EPA Virtual Meeting Series on Potential Microbial and Disinfection Byproducts Rule Revisions

As many of you all are aware, EPA is currently seeking public information and input to inform potential regulatory revisions of eight National Primary Drinking Water Regulations included in Microbial and Disinfection Byproducts (MDBP) rules following the EPA’s Six-Year Review 3. As a part of gathering public feedback, EPA held an initial virtual public meeting in October 2020 to solicit input on further improving public health protection from MDBPs in drinking water. Throughout 2021 EPA intends to continue to seek input relevant to any potential rule revisions through a series of virtual public meetings focusing on specific MDBP topics identified through public comments and information.

Registration for the May 20, 2021, virtual meeting focusing on disinfectant residual levels and opportunistic pathogens (including Legionella) is now available on EPA’s website at: https://www.epa.gov/dwsixyearreview/public-engagements-potential-revisions-microbial-and-disinfection-byproducts-rules.

Please note that this notification is also being shared with many external stakeholder groups and people, but feel free to provide this information with you those you feel may be interested in participating. For any questions, please let me know.
