Please join the PA-AWWA Young Professionals group for this year’s first virtual lunch and learn on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 12:00 pm! This lunch and learn will be held by Susquehanna River Basin Commission’s (SRBC) John Balay. John will discuss what the SRBC does, the commission’s comprehensive plan, and the commission’s grant program. There will also time at the end for some Q&A with John. Please join the PA-AWWA Young Professionals for a presentation by John Balay, Manager of Planning & Operations at the Susquehanna River Basin Commission. The mission of the Commission is to enhance public welfare through comprehensive planning, water supply allocation, and management of the water resources of the Susquehanna River Basin.
To accomplish this mission, the Commission works to: reduce damages caused by floods; provide for the reasonable and sustained development and use of surface and ground water for municipal, agricultural, recreational, commercial and industrial purposes; protect and restore fisheries, wetlands and aquatic habitat; protect water quality and instream uses; and ensure future availability of flows to the Chesapeake Bay.
John will be sharing information on the SRBC Comprehensive Plan as well as Grant Opportunities. We hope you can join us!
