| The U.S. EPA is hosting a free Community-Based Water Resiliency (CBWR) webinar on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. CBWR assists drinking water and wastewater utilities, and the communities they serve, in increasing resiliency to water interruptions from all hazards. “Within the food and agriculture sector, the Greater Lawrence Sanitary District (GLSD) in Massachusetts is using food waste from local restaurants and businesses to reduce its reliance on the electric grid. This not only benefits GLSD and the restaurants and businesses who rely on wastewater services, but also increases community resilience to any potential wastewater outages brought on by a grid power failure.”
