Chief Operator Full Job Description

Doylestown Township is seeking a qualified individual for the open position of Chief Water Operator in the Township’s Water Authority.  The position reports to the Water Superintendent and supervises a team of water operators.  The Doylestown Township Municipal Authority operates approximately 12 production wells, five storage tanks, and four booster stations.

The Chief Water Operator is responsible for maintaining the operational integrity and safety of a potable water supply in compliance with all DEP and DRBC permit conditions.  The Chief Water Operator will direct the day-to-day duties of the operations staff.   Please visit the website below for a full job description.

The successful applicant should have an enthusiasm to work in a Public Works environment, be self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as in a group.  Overtime is required and work schedule will include weekends and holidays.

The successful applicant must possess a Class B, E with subclass 7,8,11, and 12 Pennsylvania Water Operator License.  Five years of water operating experience with at least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.
