ADVISORY – FRIDAY – Steering Committee for Pennsylvania’s Chesapeake Bay Watershed Phase 3 Plan to Discuss Growth and Public Engagement Strategy

 

Harrisburg, PA –  The Steering Committee for Phase 3 of Pennsylvania’s Chesapeake Bay Watershed state plan to reduce pollution in local waters will discuss growth and public engagement strategy at its January 26 meeting.

Staff from the Environmental Protection Agency Chesapeake Bay Program Office will present a method for accounting for population and development growth in setting pollution reduction goals.

A strategy for local planning and engagement in the Phase 3 process will be presented by Lisa Schaefer, County Commissioners Association, and Davitt Woodwell, Pennsylvania Environmental Council, who chair the Local Area Planning Goals Workgroup. The committee will also begin developing a public engagement strategy.

The meeting is open to the public. It also may be followed via webinar. Registration is required for the webinar.
